Our founders bring over 40 years of combined experience in distribution, consultant relations, and product management for leading institutional asset management firms. They are highly structured in their approach to distribution while maintaining a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
Anna has been working as a placement agent since 2020 and has worked with a diverse client base – from first-time/emerging managers to long-tenured private market funds.
Prior to starting her own consulting business, Anna was Head of Business Development at Flat World Partners, an impact advisory firm based in NYC. At Flat World, Anna worked with family offices and their next gens, to help them build portfolios that were better aligned with their personal and family missions (climate tech, gender lens investing). Anna started her career in finance at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London and moved to Man Group’s GLG arm in 2011 where she spent the subsequent seven years and moved to New York in 2013.
Anna has a law degree from BPP Law School and an MS degree from BPP Business School. Anna received her MA degree from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO.
Anne has over 20 years of distribution experience in the institutional asset management space working with the largest institutional plan sponsors and institutional investment consultants.
Prior to launching Armitage Partners, Anne held various distribution roles in the asset management space, both for hedge-fund-focused firms and long-only managers.
Most recently Anne was Head of North America Distribution and Consultant Relations at Thornburg Investment Management. Prior to Thornburg, Anne was Co-Head of Institutional Distribution for GAM for four years and before that, she was Head of North America Consultant Relations for Man Group for five years. Anne started her career at Capital Group, where she spent 15 years, focused on direct sales and consultant relations.
Anne earned an MBA at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and a BA in English literature and journalism at the University of Northern Iowa.
Anne is an auxiliary board member of Everyone Reading Illinois (ERI). She is also past president and a former board member of Women Investment Professionals, a member of the University of Chicago Women’s Business Group and a member of 100 Women in Finance.
Anne holds the CAIA designation and her series 3, 7, 24 and 63.
Josh has over 25 years of experience in financial services, specializing in alternative and structured credit. For the past five years, Josh has managed a consulting, capital markets and placement business focusing on private markets, specialty finance and structured products. Josh has built a network of professionals to collaborate and partner with on mandates leveraging their various expertise. Previously Josh ran North American Business Development for Chenavari Investment Managers, was Head of Alternatives & Co-Head of US Sales at Babson Capital (now Barings), in Capital Introductions at JP Morgan, spent seven years at Bear Stearns on the CDO Banking and Origination team and worked at Foothill Capital Corporation in Asset Based Lending.
